Sparkles & Snowflakes

We heart winter weddings.

Is there anything more magical and festive than a winter wedding? I think not.
Fur stoles, sparkly white lights, snow on the ground, the scent of pine in the air--what isn't to love?

Linsday Newall, our Boston bride, felt the same way.

Winter Wedding Fun

New Leaf's 2009 wedding season closed out this past weekend with two fantastic brides. Danielle Bassi called last year to book herself, her mom, and 2 sisters. Her winter wedding at Linden Place was to be a destination for our Pennsylvania bride. Little did I know that I would be reminded of how small of a world we live in!

Feathers & Fancy Lips

There is nothing like a beautiful red lip...if you can pull it off. We see it in magazines. We see the celebrities wearing it on the red carpet. We all dream of doing it but it's just so darn hard to get it right.

Well then, your dreams of feeling as sexy as a vintage pin up girl can come true...Just find Amy, our make-up guru, and you too can rock the red lips for the holidays!

Once Upon a Time…

Once upon a time, Sue Austin gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Anne. She dreamed of planning her wedding one day. She pictured her daughter wearing a gorgeous gown and long, flowing veil, fit for a princess.

All of Sue Austin's dreams came true for Anne.

Sue booked Anne's wedding over a year ago so we were dying to meet Anne. We got a sneak peek of her on Snap! Photography's blog, wearing the sassiest skirt and heels, skipping around Castle Island in Boston with her fiance, Tony. We were not disappointed when we met her.
Anne is one of the sweetest, nicest brides we have ever met. She has a smile that lights up any room, the cutest giggle, and was super easy to please. It is no surprise that Tony is smitten with his princess.

Retro Is All The Rage

Retro and fun are two words to describe Caitlin Chipperfield's 'vibe' for her wedding.
She lucked out with some beautiful fall weather for her Oceancliff affair. Now I have lived in New England my whole life. Why does it still shock me that, in October, I can watch the Patriots playing in the snow one day and then our bride can get married outside in Newport two weeks later?
Courtesy of our friends at Snap! Photography, here is what a ceremony looks like at Oceancliff...well, minus the guests wearing summer attire. I think it was still too cool for that.

I bet Caitlin never dreamed that her ceremony could be outside.

Christine’s Going to Disney!
Christine Furtado was pretty happy that it was 60 degrees and cloudy on her wedding day. Why, you ask? Because the meteorologists were predicting a total washout, complete with driving rain and high winds.

Wouldn't you love to be a weather person? You can be wrong every day and still have a job.
I bet Christine was happy that weather people are bad at their jobs.
Her ceremony was here in Bristol and her reception was at the Five Bridge Inn, a beautiful place in Rehoboth, Massachusetts. Christine is our first bride to get married there so it was fun to hear all about it.

Here are a few pictures of the grounds...

Red & Radiant

You know a bride is going to be nice when her last name is Niece.
And as an aside, am I the only person who still has to say to myself, 'i' before 'e' , except after 'c' or when sounding like 'neighbor' or 'whey' when typing a ie/ei word? I hope not because then I will be embarrassed.

Barrington Beauty

Sarah Gordon, a Barrington native, decided to come back to her roots for her wedding. Sarah is now a Bostonian (not to be confused with BRISTOLian, a Bristol native, born and raised).
Her wedding was at the Rhode Island Country Club. This location is not your typical country club on a golf course--it overlooks the water, showing off some seriously beautiful sunsets. I'm told if you grew up in the East Bay area, you always crave the ocean so it's only fitting that Sarah came back for her big day.
