Maybe you were as sad as we were to watch TLC's What Not to Wear and see that the adorable (and talented) hairstylist Nick Arrojo was absent this season. What!?! Ted Gibson's great and all, but we just loved Nick's blunt, matter-of-fact manner and of course, fab hair.
Well, we found out what Nick's been up to...creating his own hair products! After testing the line, and loving it, we decided to welcome Arrojo Product to the New Leaf retail 'family'. Don't worry, Bumble and Kerastase are not the jealous type;-)
New Leaf feels very lucky to be named Arrojo Product 'Ambassadors' because we are ONE of only 13 salons in the country to carry the line. Not too shabby, right? It's just that Nick (yes, we're on a first name basis...that's how we roll) knows we share in his belief that PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION IS THE BEST WAY FOR THE CLIENT TO ENJOY GREAT HAIR, EVERY DAY.
The concept is simple: products that are easy to understand. You are able to pick it up and know exactly what it does inside in ten seconds. As hairdressers working on the salon floor everyday, we thank you, Nick. No flash, no fuss, we just want products that WORK.
So far, our favorite has been Volume Foam. What does it do? No surprise here...it's a foam that creates volume. It's more than that really. For the fine-haired and frustrated, we know you have used a volumizing product that all it really does it help get your round brush stuck as you're blow drying. Not fun.
Enter Arrojo Volume Foam....
One to two pumps of this light foam and your fine to medium hair feels light, airy, body-licious and helps you take your blow dry to maximum heights. P.S. Your brush will not get caught, we promise.
Another fantastic feature of Arrojo Product is that the entire line is $17 and UNDER! The Volume Foam? Just $15. An 8.5 oz shampoo? $13. The 8.5 oz conditioner? $15. Impressive.
Another favorite is Arrojo Hair Repair Masque. It's for 'needy' hair. You know, dry...damaged...color-obsessed type hair. It's protein packed to revitalize, repair and sooth your strands. Basically, your hair will drink this masque and finally quench its thirst.

Still searching for the perfect texture paste? We understand. Some waxes are too greasy, some pastes are too thick, this one is juuuuust right. It's for all hair types. It's a workable holding paste that has a matte finish (which is GREAT for short hair and guys) and creates perfect piece-y-ness. We know that's not a word, we admit it's made up. Don't judge. We make up words ALL the time. You should hear some of the crazy made up words thrown around the salon floor every day. Trust us, piece-y is the least worrisome of them.

Check out the Arrojo Product website when you have a minute. It has this great page called "Tell Me How..." where it offers all sorts of product cocktails to create different looks--curls, fierce volume, texture, and more.
And don't tell Nick we told you, but while Amy was in New York last week having dinner with him (I know, envy is a sin, but aren't you just GREEN with it? Seriously.), he let her in on a little known secret. He just finished up filming some pilots for his own new reality show. Man, he has been a busy guy..he also has two newborn baby boys at home...what a year so far! While we miss him on Friday night's on TLC, at least we have something to look forward to... But you didn't hear that from us...
Drop in to New Leaf next time you are in Bristol and check out the Arrojo Line....
